After traveling the world for twenty years with various Andean groups, Inkaswasi, Muisc and Dance of the Andes was created by Sergio Espinoza, Artistic Director and Producer. Classically trined on the violin, Sergio now plays all sacales of Andean bamboo flutes, (sikus and quenas), as well as charango and mansolin. He brings from PerĂº some of her most talented indigenous musicians. And joined by InkasWasi dancers, the group of five brings their songs, dences traditional costumes and thechnically-rich culture of the ancient Incas to modern day audiences.
Through the Andes. It is this spirit that captures the audiences in the performances of InkasWasi, and their melodies resonate throughout any performance center.
Since its inception in 2003, InkasWasi has received a profusion of recomendation letters for their superb work in promoting their Andean music and heritage, receiving airtime on special tv programs and rave reviews, heir musical accomplishments come highly recommended by Oscar Stagnaro, Professor, Latin Jazz at Berklee School Music, and Manuel Zurita, TeleMundo New England.
